The foods we eat constitute the main reason why we are healthy or unhealthy. Our food choices can toxify our bodies or purify them from impurities and toxins. It is up to us to determine what is best for our bodies. Not everyone responds to certain foods the same way. We must educate ourselves about our particular body’s needs.

“Our bodies are built up from the food we eat. There is a constant breaking down of the tissues of the body; every movement of every organ involves waste, and this waste is repaired from our food. Each organ of the body requires its share of nutrition. The brain must be supplied with its portion; the bones, muscles, and nerves demand theirs. It is a wonderful process that transforms food into blood and uses this blood to build up the varied parts of the body; but this process is going on continually, supplying life and strength to each nerve, muscle, and tissue. ” (Ministry of Healing Chapter 23 pg 295)

Our bodies are of divine design. Each cell, each organ, and each bone are designed to self-manage and self-maintain. Our skeleton, for example, is a flexible structure designed to move. To do so, each moving part was designed to self-lubricate and it does so with no outside intervention. When unexpected incidents happen, the body quickly goes into repair mode. Wounds heal, bone tissue regenerates, and blood vessels reroute when certain capillaries are blocked. The body has an enormous ability to self-correct when it is given the proper tools to function at its highest efficiency. All we have to do is supply it with the highest quality of nutrition made specifically for this highly advanced work of biological architecture.

The foods we eat play the most important role in healthy living. The most ideal foods for optimum health are vegetarian. The most ideal diet is a vegan diet. The most ideal way to prepare vegan foods is natural and raw. God gave Adam and Eve the healthiest diet, we can imagine.

“Then God said, ‘I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” Genesis 1:29

Meats of any kind were not on their menu. Cooked foods were not on their itinerary. They picked their foods straight from the source from which they grew and ate them fresh. All the necessary nutrients their perfect bodies required were contained in all the fresh fruits and vegetables they ate. Their bodies lacked nothing. They suffered no deficiencies. Their bodies were perfectly disease free. Is it possible to be disease-free today? Yes, it is. The biblical diet was not just for Adam and Eve, it was meant for humankind.

The reason there is so much disease, sickness, and death today is due to the foods we eat. We are being poisoned by our appetites and cravings for unhealthy processed foods. So much so that when we eat something that is actually good for us, we are repulsed by it. So to actually get back to the type of diet we need to be, we must go through a total transformation from what our bodies are used to. This is not an easy thing to do, but if we are willing, this transformation can be achieved. Once achieved, the rewards are greater than we can ever imagine.
